Club History

Lodge Bar were founded by Mike Locker and entered the CDFL in the 2008-2009 season and were inducted in to the newly formed Division Three. During this season they held their own in what was a strong division finishing seventh, winning 5 and drawing 1 of 18 games. With new applicants applying to join the league this was enough to see them promoted to Division Two for the 2009-2010 season. Lodge Bar once again enjoyed some success finishing a respectable eighth on 19 points, winning 5 and drawing 4 out of 20 games. The 2010-2011 season proved to be a tougher affair for Lodge Bar with them finishing second from bottom after only registering 3 wins during the season. 2011-2012 saw a much strong team come into affect finishing sixth on 25 points. Last season Lodge Bar continued their progression finishing fifth in a very strong division two registering 9 wins and 2 draws out of 20 games. The 2013-2014 season should see Lodge Bar finishing once again in a comfortable mid table position. However, this season has seen some fantastic cup results, which has culminated in a Cayzer Shield Final appearance at the Swansway Stadium, home of Chester FC.

2015-2016 will see Lodge Bar merge with close neighbours Boughton Athletic to deliver a first and second team playing from Saighton.
